The Australasian Council of Security Professionals
The Council coordinates activities of security professionals by:
- Seeking security association agreement to the in-principle statement for the advancement of security professionals
- Refining and advancing five cross grouping initiatives of:
- New Security Umbrella Entity Project
- Security Professionals’ Education Council
- Security Professionals’ Certification Board
- Security Professionals’ Information Sharing Project
- Multi-security association/group/interest conference
Security Professionals’ Registry Workshop 27 July 14:00hrs Four Seasons Hotel

The Australasian Council of Security Professionals is being supported by the Federal
Attorney General’s Department to develop and implement a National Register for
Security Professionals.
As part of this project there will be a series of public workshops in Australia and New
Zealand to develop professional register criteria and governance arrangements for
such a registry.
The first is to be held at 14:00hours on 27 July in Sydney at the Four Seasons Hotel.
It will be held following the ASIS NSW Chapter Half-Day Conference.
Attendance at the Registry Workshop is free and open to all security professionals.
